In recent months, Yemen has witnessed significant demonstrations in support of P@lestine. Over a million Yemenis have rallied after Friday prayers, expressing solidarity with P@lestinians in G@za.
These protests have been organized by various groups, including the Houthi movement, which controls most of Yemen’s territory.
The demonstrators have waved P@lestinian flags and chanted slogans against Isr@eli actions in G@za. In contrast, Pakistan, with a population exceeding 240 million, has seen fewer large-scale rallies.
However, there have been notable demonstrations, such as those organized by the political party Jamaat-e-Islami, which held rallies near Islamabad to denounce Israeli strikes in G@za and urged the government to send more aid to P@lestinians.
The disparity in the scale of these protests highlights the need for greater public engagement and solidarity in Pakistan regarding the P@lestinian cause.
While Yemen’s rallies have been extensive, Pakistan’s demonstrations have been more limited in scope. This contrast underscores the importance of amplifying voices in support of G@za and Palestine within Pakistan.
