Recently, a series of aviation incidents has raised concerns about air travel safety. Among the most notable was the crash of Jeju Air Flight 2216 in South Korea on December 28, 2024, which resulted in 179 fatalities after the plane skidded off the runway during adverse weather. In Kazakhstan, an Azerbaijan Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing in Aktau due to technical issues, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, in the United States, a Robinson R44 helicopter crashed during lift-off in Texas, injuring the pilot, and a Bell 407 helicopter made an emergency landing in a New Jersey parking lot, with all six onboard escaping unharmed.
Additionally, a Cessna 172 had an emergency landing in Illinois after an engine failure, with the pilot emerging unscathed. These incidents, linked to factors such as mechanical failures, adverse weather, and human error, have prompted investigations to identify their causes and reinforce aviation safety measures.
