The court also directed Butt to create and upload videos on his social media platforms every month, highlighting the importance of protecting wildlife and preventing animal cruelty.Butt had accepted a lion cub as a gift on his wedding day, which led to a complaint being filed with the wildlife department.
The court ruled that keeping a lion cub without proper permits is a violation of wildlife laws. The community service order will require Butt to work with the wildlife department to create content promoting animal welfare.The court’s decision also stated that the lion cub will remain in the Safari Park until further notice, and its future will be decided in conjunction with another ongoing court case.
