The ceasefire, which ended a 15-month-long conflict, facilitated the release of hostages and prisoners on both sides. The P@lestinian Prisoners Society noted that more P@lestinians have been arrested than released since the start of the ceasefire, highlighting the ongoing volatility in the region. In the West Bank, celebrations erupted as the released prisoners were welcomed back, with families and communities gathering to greet their loved ones.
Despite the joyous receptions, the recent arrests have cast a shadow over the ceasefire’s initial optimism, indicating the fragile nature of peace and the complexities involved in the Isr*eli-P@lestinian conflict.
