Freedom Denied: P@lestinians Arrested Post Exchange.

Following a recent prisoner exchange between Isra*el and H@mas, where Isr*el released 90 P@lestinian prisoners in exchange for three Isr*eli hostages, the Isr*eli army detained 64 P@lestinians, including children as young as seven, during a raid in eastern Qalqilya in the northern West Bank. This operation occurred just one day after the initial prisoner release under the ceasefire and exchange agreement.

The ceasefire, which ended a 15-month-long conflict, facilitated the release of hostages and prisoners on both sides. However, the subsequent detentions have raised concerns among P@lestinians and human rights organizations, who view these actions as undermining the spirit of the ceasefire agreement.

The P@lestinian Prisoners Society noted that more P@lestinians have been arrested than released since the start of the ceasefire, highlighting the ongoing volatility in the region. In the West Bank, celebrations erupted as the released prisoners were welcomed back, with families and communities gathering to greet their loved ones.

Despite the joyous receptions, the recent arrests have cast a shadow over the ceasefire’s initial optimism, indicating the fragile nature of peace and the complexities involved in the Isr*eli-P@lestinian conflict.
