Isr*eli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, 75, recently underwent successful prostate surgery at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Center. He was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection resulting from benign prostate enlargement, leading to the procedure. Dr. Ofer Gofrit, head of the urology department, confirmed there is no concern about malignancy.
Netanyahu is expected to remain hospitalized for observation over the next few days.This surgery adds to a series of health issues Netanyahu has faced in recent years, including dehydration, a heart condition requiring a pacemaker, and hernia surgery.
Despite these challenges, he has maintained a rigorous work schedule, recently boasting of working 18-hour days.During his surgery, Justice Minister Yariv Levin served as acting prime minister. Netanyahu’s health remains a focal point, especially as Israel navigates complex regional dynamics and ongoing conflicts.
