The Cabinet Division has issued a notification stating that the dates of Muslim festivals will be based on anticipated dates and subjected to the appearance of the moon.
Government officials will need prior permission to avail optional holidays, and Muslims will be limited to one optional holiday, while non-Muslims can take up to three.
The holidays are divided into categories, including Public Holidays, Optional Holidays, and Other Observances.
